One of a Kind Buttons are handmade and kiln fired stoneware, terracotta or porcelain clay. The clay is stamped with a variety of images, some found, some for texture, and others I have drawn. Most of the glaze colors are what I like to call 'happy accidents'. I have experimented with a lot of different glazes, one over another to create those beautiful colors. The stamps are impressed into the clay, bisque fired, glazed with up to 3 coats of glaze, fired again to make beautiful colors.
Weave the legs of the shawl pin in and out through the knitted or woven item, to secure a good closure.
The back of the shawl pins are not glazed, length is approximately 1 1/2 to two inches long per shawl pin.
